Joining more than 200 distinguished university presses and scholarly societies, the University of Missouri Peace Studies Program now publishes the International Journal of Conflict & Reconciliation (IJC&R) on Project MUSE.
“The IJC&R is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal dedicated to promoting dialogue on the pursuit of peace through non-violent means,” explains Daive Dunkley, director of Peace Studies and chair of Black Studies at Mizzou, “It brings together research from the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.”
Through Project MUSE, Peace Studies offers complete, full-text versions of the journal’s five volumes — making good on Mizzou’s commitment to not only cultivate knowledge but also share it with the wider world.
The journal’s co-editors, Professors Emeriti Richard Hessler and Tọ́lá Olú Pearce, invite submissions of original research and theoretical articles, engaging activists’ reports, and thought-provoking book reviews that address global discussions on peace and its connections to social, political, and economic topics.
Published annually, the journal’s next issue will be published April 2026. The current issue, published in spring of 2025, focuses on peace and security in Africa.
